Probably Stolen Eleanor & Care Package

A visitor offers a free parcel for Eleanor. Inspect it before agreeing: the package is a story decision, and passing it on can close her route. Start with the spoiler-light checks; open the outcome panels when you want the consequences.

Before the care package arrives

AllThingsHow’s illustrated Normal run shows this sequence. Use the visitor’s actual request as your cue, rather than treating a calendar day as a universal trigger.

The recorded package visit was Day 28, followed by a gift on Day 29; the publisher explicitly says timing may differ between runs. See the illustrated record.

How to report the visitor

  1. Keep the visitor at the counter while inspecting the package’s tooltip. The recorded crate is free but marked stolen.
  2. If choosing the report branch, hold Call Security. A quick tap may do nothing.
  3. Wait for the officers’ response before moving to the next customer. The control is for the current encounter.

The illustrated Security guide identifies the teal counter control and warns that incorrect reports can incur fines. This is different from the bell used to advance customers. Do not assume every unusual visitor should be reported.

Package choices and consequences

Story spoilers: report the visitor or hand over the crate?

Reporting the supposed uncle: the illustrated run proceeds to Eleanor thanking the shopkeeper and offering either a HydraTech Micro Water Purifier or L’ESSENCE perfume. This resolves the package encounter, not her entire storyline. For the portable device’s water-quality limits, see the Pure Water guide.

Handing her the stolen package: several launch-week players report an immediate arrest. If your aim is to continue her route, do not use the handover as an experiment.

Waiting for the heat to disappear: players who reloaded and waited reported that Eleanor then refused the crate. Cooling an item’s stolen status is not evidence that the story has gained a safe delivery option.

Already holding the package?

Do not assume it is an ordinary container you must open. The same discussion includes failed opening expectations and reports of later selling it to suitable buyers. Buyer availability and the item’s current tags matter; those reports do not establish a universal sale price or a way to reverse an arrest.

Check the tooltip and your saved-day list before making another irreversible story choice. If the visitor has already left, the earlier report instructions are not a remote recall button. Keep your current branch separate from a walkthrough that begins before the package arrives.

Does the Butcher mean Eleanor died?

Story clarification from the developer

No. In the October 28 discussion, Questing Goose Studio says the Butcher’s victim and Eleanor are unrelated. That encounter is not confirmation that her story failed. Her later food, scavenging and evidence decisions are separate from this package branch.

The 1.0 announcement confirms an expanded, completed Eleanor storyline and recommends a fresh run so demo-save players do not miss new story content. This page covers the package decision; it does not promise a complete route through every later ending.

Next counter decision

Lou’s report and return visits behave differently. For another food-delivery task, see Cadet Serpico. Equipment from a reward still follows the machine setup rules.
