Which games we cover

We pick a small number of new games that players are actively searching for and that don't already have a good reference. If a section isn't useful after the first one to two months, we merge it or take it out of search.

Where data comes from

  • Primary sources first: the Steam store page, Steam's public achievement data, official patch notes and developer announcements.
  • Our own play: details verified in the game, noted with the game version.
  • Press and community: cited by name and link, and only used for things we can't check directly.

We don't make up stats, drop rates or locations. Where something is unconfirmed, the page says so.

Version labels

Every game page shows the version its data reflects and the date it was last checked. Pages written before a game's release are labeled pre-release and only use the store page, the demo or official announcements. We expand them once the full game is out and we can verify the details.

Corrections

Email a correction with evidence. When we confirm it, we fix the page and update its "last checked" date.

Ads and independence

Ads and affiliate links never decide what we write or how we rank things. We don't use pop-up ads or ads that interrupt data tables.
